Currant Creek Round Up
These are some pictures of this years round up. It was sooooo cold (mucho frio, as Jose would say) but I had so much fun! The first day we were after some bulls and my brother headed up high in the pines and me and Matt were behind him. I looked below the pines and said, "it looks boggy" and Matt said, "It's not" and as soon as my horse took a step we were in the bog! I got out of it somehow and Matt didn't. Jack, his horse, ended up upside down in the mudd Matt's saddle, gun, and all. We pulled him all the way over and cleaned off his saddle and luckily his horse was fine. Jack had another bad day on Monday when he got in some wire while trying to get out of another bog!
We had a great time though. I love spending time with my brothers and their friends, I end up laughing the whole time. Our cousin Ben is the tall handsome one in the pictures :) I was trying to get a picture of all of us that was squished in the truck and it only ended up showing Matt, Ben and Me but there was Mac, Tadd, Daniel, Sam, and Judd in that truck too, it was so funny.
Thanks to my mom and dad for watching the kids for us. Dad said the kids wouldn't eat his chili dogs and they told him his house was haunted and the carpet was moving. They got quite a kick out the kids and their wild imaginations!

Where do your kids get their wild imaginations? Does that come from you or Matt? That looks absolutely breathtaking but absolutely freezing! I'm glad you had a great time.
I'm glad the horses were okay! It does look pretty darn cold in those pictures. I would freeze!
Wow, those are some great pics! I bet that would be amazing up in the mountains on a horse. I'm glad everyone made it back okay.
Hey Sis,
This is Riley. That looks like it was way cold but lots of fun. I wish I could have been there. But you know- I had some way more exciting things to deal with. Hope Jack is ok and Matt. Cool Music to the Video. The picture with you, Matt, and Ben in the back of the ranch truck describes how I feel every round up.
Love the pictures Amanda said she seen you, you should of introduced her to your cute cousin, hope he's single lol I wish I could of went I could not find any one to work for me..So I'm a bit jealous. glad you got to go.
I absolutely hate walking in the BOGS! (I don't know if that is the exact way to say that.) I learned a lot about them when I worked for the mosquito abatement. I'm glad that the horse is okay....that would not be fun. It looks really really cold. I probably would've volunteered to stay home and watch the kids. It is fun to see pictures of everyone though. :O)
Ralaina, It's LaShawn(Hess) Trotta, from about 5 years ago. I came across your blog, I love it! Your kids have grown so much! I noticed that this is at Currant Creek by our property in Fruitland, Ut. I remembered that you were from Tabiona and figured it had to be the same Currant Creek. You still look as beautiful as ever. You can see my blog at trottapage.blogspot.com.
