April Rewind....

Matt and Jabin had their first Pinewood Derby this year. I think Matt might have had a little more fun then Jabin ;) He started with a beautiful black and white checkered paint job and after Matt stayed up all night I woke up in the morning and it was all sanded off to repaint a solid shinny black. All the work paid off when Jabin got a prize for the Best Paint Job and WON the Pinewood Derby. Good Job Dad and Jabes!! Jabin also earned his Bobcat Award. Makin sure the cars are lined up perfectly..

EASTER AT NOTEM

Taylor family picture at the sand hill. We are only missing Julia.

Robyn, Marianne, and Me. We had to grab Marianne for a picture because she hates pictures and made us swear that we would not post pictures all over at her funeral. She said, "Absolutely NO PICTURES" So nobody tell her this is on here. I love her and think she is beautiful and want to have pictures of her.

Mark, Get Set, Go! There were so many Easter eggs the kids' buckets were over filled. They ended up with more candy then on Halloween.

The best spot to hide an egg.

Rollin eggs on the sand hill. The dads and kids spend hours making tunnels and paths for the egg roll while the moms get the Easter egg hunt ready.

Lettin' all the eggs go at once..

Four generations of family and friends camping at Notem. The camp gets bigger and bigger every year. Some of our friends were talking and they have been coming down to Notem for 40 years. It is a great tradition and so fun for the kids. They play on the sand hill all day even though their hands get sore and raw.

moms, dads, grandma's and grandpas watching the kids play

My sweet friend Camille. I love this lady and all of her Dear family!!

Grandpa and Wag fixin breakfast.

We love Campin' and "Campin' Breakfast!"

Wag just had another birthday and had a great weekend with us. So glad he was feeling well. We hope and pray he will get through the rest of his treatments and get feeling even better. Marcus and Wag just had to put down good old Killer and Wag is now looking for another horse. There is nothing I would like more then to have Wag riding with us again..He cooked up some great food,as ususal, and kept the card players hoppin...
I took the kids hiking on the rocks on the other side of camp this year. It is so fun to have the kids old enough to go hiking with me because I love it. I got a kick out of Dallas' and Hayley's comments though. They thought I was trying to kill them. Friday morning I got up and went on a bike ride to prepare for my 100 miler in a couple of weeks. I went about 50 miles and my neck got pretty sore. It was a little rainy off and on so I didn't get to ride anymore but we all agreed we would take the rain over the wind anyday. It ended up being pretty nice weather which is something to be thankful for Easter is always horrible weather but we go no matter what. Thank goodness for our trailers and the big tent. Lots of years it has even snowed on us.

Jabin, Yates and Buster

Mckelle looked down at this rock as we were hiking around and said, "look Goofy's shoe." It looks just like Goofy's shoe and this is Haddy standing on it.

On our way to the Bloody Hand. Jabin rode his new bike and Matt and I followed behind with the 4-wheelers. I was nervous about Jabin having a motorbike but after watching Matt be very careful with him and teaching him I feel better. Matt got quite a work out getting on and off his bike and standing guard by the steep drop off making the kids take the higher rode. He was very careful and it made me feel so much better. The deep sand was really hard to ride in and Matt had to get him out of some sandy tough spots. He did pretty good and got to ride all over the blue hills. I even had fun learning how to ride our 4-wheeler. I am a little scared of 4-wheelers and I think it is because I was always on the back. It is much funner to drive. I still have a ways to go to be confident enough to follow the "boys."

Jabin and Yates at Blood Hand Gap.

We had so much fun with wrestling the last couple of months. Jabin has gotten so tough and driven when he wrestles and it all paid off when he took State. It was so exciting and Matt couldn't have been prouder as you can see from this picture. Jabin is a part of Team Takedown and they have so much support with all the guys that help at the gym and an awesome wrestling coach, Cody Strickland. Good Job Jabin!! The deal at the beginning of the season was if Jabin took state Matt would buy him a motorbike. So as soon as he won that last round Matt said "Your gettin a bike!"

Taking his position on the podium.

Another gold medal. I had a Wrestling Mom T-shirt and the girls had Wrestling Sister T-shirts. Jabin loved to have us wear them to his tournaments.

Spaghetti and meatballs for breakfast....April Fools!

They had this cake at Gondolfo's and I thought it was such a cute idea I decided to serve it to the kids for breakfast on April Fools. And yes, I said cake. the noodles are frosting and the meatballs are brownies with coconut for parmesan and something like a strawberry jam for the sauce. It was kind of good.
