Thanksgiving this year will not be forgotten. I called Riley to find out where he was to know when we would be starting dinner. He answered in a solemn tone and said he had come across an accident. It was my cousin
Stuwart Lewis and his family. Riley helped do what he could keeping those in the back warm until help
arrived.
Stuwart's daughter
Kara Lee was driving and
Stuwart was in the passenger side. She was stopped at the stop sign going in to Tabby but for some reason pulled out in front of an oncoming semi.
Stuwart and
KaraLee were killed instantly. Trudy, James Andrew, and
Abigal were in the back of the van and will be okay. James Andrew will have a long road to recovery but after many miracles and prayers he is improving every day. This family is such a close, loving family and are true examples. The entire Lewis family exemplifies love, kindness and family.
How instantly our time on earth can be cut short, a reminder to cherish our family and loved ones and the times that we have with them.
Christmas Tree hunting
I heard dad holler "whew that is cold!" I thought he had fallen through the ice so I came a
runnin and found him with a bunch of snow on his head. He was laughing and said he shook off a tree to get a better look at it and it all landed on his head. He is a funny guy.
Everyone with their trees. We had a great time and the weather was beautiful.
Dallas and
Jabin had so much fun sledding, especially when dad pulled them behind the truck on the road. We had an EMT sled like this one growing up and it was so durable and lasted forever. We thought we had finally found another one but found out fast that this one is not as durable. The kids took out a couple of sagebrush and that was the end of that sled.
Maile in the snow pants. She thought it was so fun to walk around in these pants and have Uncle Judd hold her up by the straps.
